This is a traditional wooden mould used to make angku kueh, a beloved Southeast Asian delicacy. The mould comes in a tortoise shape with a longevity symbol in the middle signifying “long life.” Angku kueh is often made to celebrate a baby’s first month, birthdays, or festive occasions. The mould is user-friendly: simply brush it with oil or dust it with flour before pressing in the kueh to prevent sticking.
