These recipes are my family’s favourites which they enjoy and request for repeatedly. They are fail proof and repeatable by anyone with minimal cooking skill.
Cream Puff
I enjoy biting into the slightly salty and chewy choux pastry and then the sweet custard like cream.
Pomegranate, Orange & Spinach Salad
Pomegranate go well with orange slices, baby spinach and pecans.
Roast Lamb with Garlic & Rosemary
The roasting process for the first hour will render most of the fat which will be discarded. As such, we are able to indulge in this dish without the guilt that comes with a roast lamb.
Steamed Fish
The flesh of this fish fillet is firm and flaky with a delicate and sweet flavour and goes well with the delicious sauce.
Homemade Rice Noodles and Noodle Rolls (河粉,腸粉)
It doesn't take long and uses only 2 key ingredients, rice flour and tapioca flour. Add water and a bit of salt, steam and you have fresh rice noodles in a few minutes.
Fried Juicy Pork Chop
You could add spices to the brine solution but I find simple salt and black pepper seasoning just before frying pretty sufficient for a tasty pork chop.

Creamy Chicken & Mushroom Pie
I prefer this version as it has a lot more creamy sauce and tastier through the use of chicken stock and addition of carrot.

Goat Curry with Roti Paratha
Goat meat -is lean and and contains less cholesterol, fat, and protein than both lamb and beef. It is especially tasty when made into a spicy goat curry. Let it simmer for about an hour and the goat meat will be plump, tender and flavoursome.
Fried Mixed Noodles with SPAM & Tau Kee
I loved that fried sweet dried bean curd strips and always had to ask for an extra portion - it was never enough.To add a little "luxury" to the vegetarian fried noodles recipe, I added fried SPAM (luncheon meat) and fried omelette pieces.
Grilled Lamb Cutlet
One of the easiest meat dish to prepare is grilled lamb cutlet...and oh so very flavoursome and tasty....especially the meat near the bone and the bits of grilled crispy fat.

Friands (Blueberry and Almond)
Main ingredients are almond meal, egg white, butter and icing sugar. I made some today with fresh blueberries and some with almond flakes. I like the nutty buttery taste especially those combined with the sweet sour taste of blueberries.

Here's a recipe you may wish to try out if you like the taste of chunks of beef, bite into squishy tomatoes and enjoy a bit of heat from spicy hot chorizo.
