These recipes are my family’s favourites which they enjoy and request for repeatedly. They are fail proof and repeatable by anyone with minimal cooking skill.
Char Kway Teow (Fried Rice Noodle) (炒粿條)
Although the steps are simple, it is not an easy dish to get right. The tricks are to get the heat up high, a quick stir fry and use the right amount of sauce.
Homemade Rice Noodles and Noodle Rolls (河粉,腸粉)
It doesn't take long and uses only 2 key ingredients, rice flour and tapioca flour. Add water and a bit of salt, steam and you have fresh rice noodles in a few minutes.
