Recipes
These recipes are my family’s favourites which they enjoy and request for repeatedly. They are fail proof and repeatable by anyone with minimal cooking skill.
Braised pork Belly (Hong Shao Rou 红烧肉)
This particular version is a variation of the Shanghai-styled braised pork belly. Pressure cooking the pork belly will not only save time but will result in a fork tender pork in a delicious sauce.
Kong Bak (Braised Pork Belly) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kong Bak is another of my family's favourites. We love the fork tender pork belly steeped in the delicious sauce.
Dong Po Rou - Braised Pork Belly (东坡肉)
The meat was sweet and savoury and super tender. The skin was juicy and the sauce was, oh so, flavoursome.
Crispy Roast Pork - crunchy and flavoursome! (脆皮烧肉)
I love roast pork that is not too fat, has a nice crackling that is crispy and not hard on the teeth. It is important, for me, that the pork meat is tender and flavoursome.
Roast Pork Belly - crunchy & flavoursome!
A Roast Pork Belly that is crunchy and flavoursome is simply irresistible!
Hakka Crispy Pork
Hakka Crispy Pork is tender belly pork, marinaded in a mixture of red fermented chilli bean curd and other seasoning, and deep fried to attain a super crispy exterior.
Teriyaki Pork - tender and flavoursome
I used teriyaki sauce to braise my pork belly and am quite happy with the result. The pork belly skin gave the sauce a gelatinous texture which I really like. Will definitely make Teriyaki Pork again.
Stewed Pork with Mui Choy (梅菜焖猪肉)
Stewed Pork with Mui Choy is a very simple dish to cook but needs cooking time (1.5 hours) to ensure the pork is tender.
